Where we stand: Last episode, Parker and Jen won the competition (and 10,000 big ones) and are titled the "Power Couple". They have the power to evict one couple. All eight couples are still in the house, and no HoH has been named.

We start this episode with more of the same. Adam and Sheila at each other's throats. She is once again complaining about him, and trying to save face, Adam tells some of his house mates about all the good work he does with special needs children. He says he is working on a barber shop so "all the retards can get their hair cut together." This really upset Sheila, and I found it to be in poor taste as well. As did most of the house mates. Jen complains in the confessional that Sheila has too much bad energy. It seems at this point that Adam and Sheila are the front runners for eviction.

Then we get a look at some of the couples and how they are coming along. Of note: Allison is asking Ryan (who is secretly dating Jen) if she is his type. Playing along, he says yeah. She likes him for sure. It is cute, but also really sad because we all know that he is off the market. Meanwhile, Alex says he wanted "to give Julie a big kiss" when she announced that he was paired with Amanda. Amanda is also really into Alex and says she thinks it is possible to find love in the house.

At this point in the episode, the first REAL drama starts to take place. Jacob, Alex, Adam and Ryan are sitting outside by the pool table talking, and Jacob says he thinks Parker is a snake. Parker, of course, is Jen's partner and Ryan doesn't say much at this time, but he is clearly thinking. Jen comes out to talk with the boys, and Jacob tells Jen that he heard someone call Parker a snake. Jen goes and tells Parker, who goes on to wake everyone in the house up and call a meeting. At this point, I think Parker is making a risky move by waking them all and drawing attention to himself. He says that he heard someone called him a snake, and when no one owns up, he looks at Jacob and asks Jacob to back his claim up with a name. Jacob says it's not his place to do so, but everyone seems to suspect that Jacob made it up.

Sharon then goes on the offensive to save herself by supporting Jacob's claim while talking with Parker, where she implies it was in fact Ryan who called Parker a snake. Parker goes to talk to Jen, and when he tells her, she decides that she can no longer hide her relationship with Ryan. She tells Parker, and he is shocked but actually handles it better than I thought he would. They then call Ryan over, and Jen tells him that Parker knows. Ryan is surprised Jen already let the cat out of the bag. Ryan goes to tell Allison because he feels it would be unfair to keep her in the dark at this point. Allison has this genuinely cute/upset reaction. She is upset because she doesn't like the fact she is in a forced alliance with Jen, and because she felt as though Ryan was the kind of guy she could have feelings for. In the confession booth, Allison states that she thinks Jen is wrong for Ryan and that he would be better off with someone like her? It looks like she may make a play at him. Awesome! In a humorous moment, the camera shows four faces in a row while in the booth. Jen says she doesn't trust Allison. Allison says she doesn't trust Jen. Ryan says he can't trust Parker, and Parker states that he doesn't trust Ryan. This is definitely the most interesting alliance we have seen in Big Brother history.

Oh, and after all that, we got five more minutes of Sheila complaining about Adam's snoring and overall personality. I figured you probably missed them fighting.

Time for the EVICTION.

No voting. The Power Couple (Parker and Jen) have the right to pick whichever team they want. They go with Jacob and Sharon. Jen is really upset because her and Parker both really liked Sharon, and feel like she got screwed when she got stuck with Jacob. Jacob did dig his own grave and basically single-handedly saved Adam and Sheila for at least one more week. With the eviction, one of the Big Brother secrets is already out of the house, the exes that got paired up are not going to have a chance to reconcile on-air, because they are no more. Seven couples left.

Head of Household competition time!

Since Parker and Jen were the Power Couple and NOT HoH, they will be participating in the competition instead of running it. So, to run it, we get some lovers from Big Brother 8, Eric and Jessica (they are still together for those of you as worried about it as I was!) The competition boils down to the newlywed game. The partners are separated, and then asked multiple choice questions. They need to guess which answer their partner chose. At the end of the day, nothing too interesting came from the answers, so I'm not going to dive into them. The winner? It was the couple that seems to be most into each other Alex and Amanda. They are the first HoH. The only other thing I found really interesting is the fact the Sheila and Adam hugged a few times when they got answers right. Maybe they realized that unless they suck it up and try to get along, that they will be out the door.

At the very end of the episode, we get another confession with Allison, where she restates her distrust for Jen, and says that she may NOT be able to keep Jen and Ryan's secret.

QUICK RECAP
Evicted: Jacob and Sharon
HoH winners: Alex and Amanda
Couples in trouble: Jen and Parker are fine, but now that Allison knows about Jen and Matt, both of those couples are in a rocky situation.
Couples on the rise: Alex and Amanda seem to like each other a lot and are now HoH.

Until Sunday...
