As we all know things in the Big Brother house are never what they seem. Julie Chen announces that this first ever Winter installment of Big Brother the contestants will be playing as "pairs" of soul mates. They don't know this, but each of them has been carefully screened and matched with their soul mate based on there questionnaires.
As if that isn't enough two other surprise twists are that there is a "secret" couple (Ryan & Jen) who are pretending not to know each other, all the while they have been living together for the past seven months. The second twist is that Jacob and Sharon dated for twelve years, that is until Jacob had an affair with some girl he only knew for two months. Oh the drama.
Watching Julie call out the names of the couples was hilarious. Not because I thought that the pairings were pretty darn predictable, but because of Sheila, the 26 year old "former model," with a 16 year old son at home. She cringed when each of the guys she wanted to be sharing a bed with was paired up with someone else. She was left with Adam, the 29 year old who stated in the "interview room" that he didn't want to be paired up with the cougar. Oh the irony. Once Sheila found out Adam was her soul mate she cried worse then last years "Wamber." Really it's a game get over it. I mean Ryan handle the fact that his live in girlfriend Jen is going to be sharing a bed with the Parker the papparazzo for TMZ.
Once they all claimed their beds it was on to the first Big Brother Head of Household, which is now called the power couple. The power couple chooses who they are going to evict. The contest had the contestants suspended above a bed holding on to each other for dear life. If they broke apart they were not going to be the "Power Couple." Surprising, or not, Adam and Sheila were the first couple to drop.
In the end, after a lot of sweat and tears and an interesting backwards stretch by Jen that earned the couple $10,000 parker and Jen because Big Brother Nines first Power couple. Tune in tomorrow at 8am to find out who they are putting up for eviction! I can't wait!

Post a CommentI used to like Big Brother but this couples theme just bores me silly. Great article though.
