'Big Brother' - August 8, 2010: A New Saboteur

Deborah Woehr
As soon as Big Brother ended on Thursday, I left the room before my husband turned on the Big Brother After Dark. I did not want to know who fell off that paint can first or who won the HOH competition.

After watching tonight's show, I have to give Britney some major kudos for hanging tough longer than her buffed counterparts did. Enzo (aka 'Meow-Meow') totally copped out, which left a bad taste in Matt's mouth. Lane and Hayden eventually fell off the can, but at least they put in more of an effort.

Matt won the contest when Ragan decided to play it safe. In reality, Ragan didn't want to be the one responsible for putting both Rachel and Brendan on the block this week. So, he jumped off and Matt lauded himself as the 'brains and the brawns of the Brigade'. He also called himself The New King in Town, which didn't make much sense to me because this is his second time as HOH.

That said, I was glad that Matt won instead of Brendan. Rachel and her power trip needs to go home. That's a shame because she is very smart and is playing the game well, strategically. Her social skills suck, and it's obvious that she is using Brendan. Maybe Brendan will rise to his full potential once she is gone. Who knows.

Matt chose to open the Pandora's Box after he saw the Diamond Power of Veto. That was all well and good for him, but he could have told a better lie than the flimsy one he gave. All he succeeded in doing was further weakening the trust with his alliance.

Being the 'genius' that he is, he realized this and lived up to his promise by putting Rachel and Brendan on the block. He enjoyed watching Rachel and Ragan get into it over a false allegation about an alliance between the two men. This knocked the wind out of Rachel's campaign sail.

Ragan surprised me when he accepted America's request for him to become the new saboteur of the Big Brother house. Of course he had to hem and haw on this for quite a while. He decided to accept because he didn't want to let America down. We'll see how long he can keep his poker face. There is no doubt in my mind that he can pull off the pranks that Big Brother assigns to him.

I'm looking forward to seeing what he has to do on Wednesday and finding out who goes home on Thursday. Stay tuned.
