Big D and the Kid's Table

Music Band

Big D and the Kids Table were formed in 1995 while meeting at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. From the start they were able to develop a big fan base, packing clubs, dorms and basements in Boston. They then went on to form their own label, Fork in Hand Records, releasing their first album Shot By Lammi. They also began to hold annual Halloween concerts at their home in Boston. Then came their big break. In 1999, they signed with Asian Man Records to release their first full length album entitled Good Luck. They were able to win at the 1999 Boston Music Awards for Outstanding Ska Band. In 2002, they released an EP entitiled, The Gipsy Hill and continued to play their average of 200 shows per year.

As a result of their D.I.Y. ethic of producing music, their small and loyal fan base quickly grew. It was through touring and promotion, rather than through the little support and money offered by the label. This granted them a spot in the Vans Warped Tour that summer. They then switched to Springman Records in 2004 and released How It Goes. They were able to gain a spot on the Ska Is Dead and You're Next Tour with act like Planet Smashers, Catch 22 and Mustard Plug. In 2005 Big D and the Kids Table toured with Warped Tour again. During March of 2007, they released Strictly Rude, which allowed them to play sets with Anti-Flag and Alexisonfire.

They again went on to play at the Warped tour in 2007 and headlined a Fall US tour. Currently, they are recording their next album at Camp Street Studios in Boston and are scheduled to play Warped Tour 2009 in its entirety.
