Big Foot Lodge - A Delicious Memphis Restaurant

Maybe you've heard the commercials on the radio. Or, maybe you've heard how delicious their food is. Regardless of how you heard about it, Big Foot Lodge is a great downtown Memphis restaurant with portions so big they will actually pay for some of your meals if you can finish it all.

The Big Foot Lodge is located at 97 South Second Street in downtown Memphis, Tennessee. In typical downtown fashion, the restaurant is open late, from 11am to 2:30am seven days a week. The restaurant takes the Big Foot (or Sasquatch as the Canadians call him) stories and has made a delicious restaurant with some of the largest portions around. Even their beer is large, 33 ounces.

While dining at the casual restaurant, check out all the information about Big Foot and decide for yourself whether or not he exists. The giant monster is said to have left footprints as large as 16 to 18 inches long and seven feet wide. Even if you don't believe in Big Foot, you will believe in how wonderful the food is!

When you go to the restaurant take a shot at the "Sasquatch Challenge". What is it? Well, Big Foot Lodge is home to the "Sasquatch Burger", which starts out as five pounds of ground beef cooked down to four pounds. This huge burger comes with all of the fixings and a huge bun to hold it all in. With all of it together, the Sasquatch Burger probably weighs about seven pounds! The challenge is this, if you can eat the whole burger including the fixings by yourself in under sixty minutes, you get it for free. You also get your picture in the Hall of Fame. It doesn't sound so bad, does it?

To top it off, try the "Yeti" for dessert. With seven-pound burgers, you know the dessert at the Big Foot Lodge is going to be huge, and this is no exception. It is eighteen scoops of ice cream with lots and lots of toppings! Another great delicious dessert is the "S'Mores". It's just like being at a camp fire right in the middle of the restaurant, fully equipped with marshmallows, graham crackers, and of course the chocolate! YUM!

When you come to Big Foot Lodge keep in mind that Second Street is a one-way street that runs southbound. For more information or to check out their menu, visit their website at www.bigfootlodge.net
