Big K Diet Pop: Review

Chen Salis
I am on a budget, like almost everyone else these days. I have been purchasing generic and store brand products exclusively for the past few months. I am almost always pleased with my purchases and I have found that often times when buying a national brand product, I am basically paying extra because they advertise. While the packaging might be fancier, the quality of the national brands is not really that much better than the store or generic labels.

Among my purchases of generic and store brand products include Big K brand diet soda pop made by the Kroger company. I have tried a few different flavors of Big K sod pop. In this review I will share my thoughts and experiences with Big K diet pop to help consumers save money and make an informed buying decision the next time they are at the grocery store.

I like that 2 liter bottles of Big k pop are often on sale at prices around sixty cents per bottle. Considering Diet Coke averages $1.50 per bottle in my regular Kroger store I like that I can get 2 bottles of pop for less than the price of one 2 liter bottle of Diet Coke. I also like the large assortment of diet flavors available in the Big K pop line. I have tried the Big K diet cola, it is okay, but it does not taste anything like diet coke. It is not bad, but I do not particularly enjoy this flavor.

Among my favorites in the Big K diet pop line includes Big K diet orange. This is a really great store brand of pop that tastes a lot like Sunkist diet orange. I would love it a lot more if it contained caffeine, nut unfortunately it does not. Big K diet orange pop is light, flavorful and above all a great deal!

I have also tried Big K diet citrus drop pop. This is so similar to diet mountain dew that it is basically impossible to tell the two apart. This diet pop contains a lot of caffeine and a really great citrus flavor. I prefer Big K diet citrus drop to Diet Mountain Dew because it is very similar in flavor and a fantastic deal!

I will continue to purchase Big K diet pop in 2 liter bottles, I am happy with the quality and the flavor, most of all the savings are hard to pass up! I would recommend other shoppers try the Big K line of bottled beverages also.
