My husband and I bought a bunch of basic items there when we first got married that are still holding up. We found a 5 shelf bookcase for $30. We bought two bar stools for $24 each. Another great thing to shop for at Big Lots are decorative items for the home. Again, the prices are amazing on everything to decorate your household. They carry candles, picture frames, nice wicker baskets, decorative wall hangings, mirrors, everything you can think of. I love getting cheap picture frames here for family members for Christmas. I recently bought a nice 8x10 matted, wooden frame for $3. I blow up pictures that I know my family members will like and frame them and it makes the perfect gift.

If you need anything for the kitchen shop at Big Lots first. I needed all new pots and pans and the ones here were half the price of what I had found at other stores. They also have great dish and silverware sets. I bought a brand new Pfaltgraft set of silverware for $15. It's easy to coordinate things here, they have tons of matching canisters and towels to go with your dishes and other kitchen items.

If you're looking for bedding they have a pretty good selection here. You're not going to find high count threading or anything like that but if you're looking for basic sheets you can't beat the price. They also carry a good stock of throw blankets and decorative pillows. It's easy to match pieces in this department too.

For your next party or special occasion, look in the Big Lots store near you for everything you need. They carry an extensive range of products such as plates, napkins, and plastic silverware. They also have great greeting cards for any occasion including thank you, birthdays, anniversaries and many more.

Any pet owner should check Big Lots for items for their favorite furry friend. For dogs, they have toys and treats at great prices. I recently bought a huge bag of rawhide chips for $6 that will last my dog at least a month. They have collars, leashes, all of the practical things you can think of. They also have cat toys and treats too. Sometimes you can find great beds for both your canine and feline friends.

I suggest if you find an item at the store that you like, to buy it. It won't last for very long and since their items are wholesale, there's no telling if they'll restock them. If you're buying dishes, make sure to get enough for a full set and extras in case of the inevitable broken plate. If you don't have the money for that then pick out a pattern that's easy to match so you can buy replacement pieces anywhere.
