Longwood, FL 32750
United States of America
11 acres of beautiful lush marsh and vegetation. This land was donated by Senator M.O Overstreet and dedicated by President Calvin Coolidge in 1929.This is marked as a historical place.Preserved throughout the years for everyones enjoyment. The secret of this park is the trees.Prize possession is the 3,500 year old Bald Cypress Tree.
The park is open at 8am till sunset everyday. This park is set up for everyone. They built a boardwalk throughout the trail to preserve the nature and wildlife. When you step onto the boardwalk you are taking a step back in time.Make sure you take a deep breath in and smell the fresh air and let the journey began.
You will notice that it is very peaceful and the beauty it holds here.Takes away all the stress of everyday life.As you walk the path you notice signs that have been posted for our education.Make sure you stop and look. You will be surprised on how much you are going to learn.Don't worry if ya get a little tired there are benches for you to take a load off.
If you like to read bring a book. This is a awesome place just to sit and read. When you make it to the end you will be awarded the most precious gift of all.Respect for life and nature. So I am not going to give away any more of this secret. You will have to stop out and see for yourself.
Parents they have also added a nice playground for the wee tykes to play on.Plenty of fun here.Longwood took the the time to make sure they included every child's dream park here.Once your children are set free to play they are not going to leave.
Fountains and bathrooms are a most so here you go they have it...We all know that when it comes to kids this is a most.Heres a bonus they have pic-nic tables too.Pack up a lunch and get in the car. What better to do on a Saturday or Sunday.Lunch in the park maybe even a little dinner too.
Birthday Party oh ya.This is a great place to have a child's birthday bash.So much to do you can leave the games at home.Work stressing you out.No worries take a walk with this nature trail and you will be ready to take on the world.
Ok now i know what your saying. This has to cost a fortune.Good news it is free. This is a public park where all is welcome to come and have fun.Just remember to take all with you that you bring. We want this place to never change and one piece of trash can cost a life time of damage.
Just a little hint guys. This is a great place to take the lady and ask her something special.Lovers lane you might say.I know this place will always hold a special memory for me.Have fun all and enjoy..
