As one can see, at the end of the night I was way off in many categories. That just shows the unpredictability of the awards show. Overall, I was pleased with the entire show. I thought Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin were wonderful hosts and were quite funny. I especially liked the part where they made fun of the movie Paranormal Activity. I also like how they were able to poke fun at the actors and actresses.

In the end, I was pleased with who won the Oscars. While some may be disappointed that Avatar did not take home the Best Picture award, I wasn't all that disappointed. The Hurt Locker does look like a wonderful movie. Besides, James Cameron is now the owner of the two highest grossing movies of all time (Avatar and Titanic). Also, he won Best Picture for Titanic back in the late 90s. Sometimes you just can't have it all. In the end, Avatar took home three awards, and The Hurt Locker took home six awards. Not too shabby if you ask me.

I did notice a few things last night that were somewhat interesting. The first thing was the horrible attitude exhibited by Kristen Stewart. She couldn't smile even once while presenting last night. This is not how one should act at such an event. Also, was anyone feeling the chills between George Clooney and his girl? I am not quite sure what that was all about.

Overall, the Academy Awards was entertaining and I congratulate all of the winners (you rock Sandra Bullock!).
