Biggest Loser 2009 Season Finale for Eighth Season Approaches
There Are Just Two Episodes of Biggest Loser Season Eight on NBC
The season finale of The Biggest Loser will take place on Tuesday, December 8th at 8:00 P.M. on NBC. The penultimate episode of The Biggest Loser that airs tonight will also begin at 8:00 P.M. on NBC, and will be the typical two hours in length that NBC has seemed to want to stretch the show into each week. Sometimes it really feels like they are putting filler into the episodes, but with the real reason that NBC needs a two hour show stemming from dome really low ratings for the network, it almost becomes frustratingly understandable. Don't tell that to any actor or actress trying to make it in a television drama that needs the 10:00 P.M. time slot though.
In tonight's episode of The Biggest Loser, all of the contestants will be features as they head home in this familiar stage of the reality show. It's time for the contestants to all prove that they can stick with their diet and exercise regiments without all of the trainers hovering over them, and then they will have to return to the Biggest Loser ranch in order to compete in the toughest challenge that they have faced so far. Once back at the ranch the final four contestants will all participate in a full marathon (26.2 miles) in order to showcase just how far all of these contestants have come during the season.
The eighth season finale of The Biggest Loser will also be shaped by a weigh-in that takes place tonight, where the two people that fall below the yellow line will be voted on by the viewers to see which one makes it to the final three in the season finale. It is from those final three contestants that the winner of Biggest Loser 8 will be chosen. That person will receive an immediate 15 minutes of fame, and along with it the $250,000 cash prize that they give to the winner each season. The season finale airs at 8:00 P.M. live on Tuesday, December 8th (live to the East Coast that is).
