As with every week on The Biggest Loser, the contestants were faced with a challenge during their week at home. The challenge arrived at their front doors as a tin of large sugar cookies. There was DVD in the tin that explained this week's challenge. The contestants were challenged to run a ½ marathon that translates to 13.1 miles. The contestant with the fastest time will win $10,000. But, as always, there was catch. Each contestant had an opportunity to add five minutes to another contestant's final times by eating a 350 sugar cookie in that person's name. The results would be revealed back at the ranch. Sione was in the lead for most of the race with Tara following closely behind him until he experienced leg cramps close to the finish line.
When the contestants gathered back at the ranch for the results, Tara had the best time of 2:24:19 with Sione coming in second at 2:25:57. Next, the contestants were asked to reveal if they ate a cookie to add five minutes to another player's time. Helen admitted eating a cooking for Tara that added five minutes to her final time moving Sione into first place and winning $10,000.000. All of contestants eventually finished the marathon, except for Ron.
After the last chance workouts, the blue team and black team competed against each other at the final weigh in for the total percentage of weight loss for the week. Mike was the biggest loser on the black team losing eight lbs. And, Ron was the biggest loser on the blue team losing ten lbs. for a total weight loss of 103 lbs. After everyone was weighed, the black team had a total percentage of 2.35% weight loss and the blue team had a total percentage of 1.34% sending the blue team to the elimination room for the third week in a row. After an emotional team meeting, Cathy asked to be voted home to allow her daughter, Kristen, and Aubrey to remain at the ranch.
