Biggest Loser, Couples Edition, Update: Mike's Weight Loss Means Immunity for Everyone

This week's show started with the conclusion of last week's dramatic weigh in. To recap, Allison announced another twist in the game last week and said, "Tonight you are not weighing in against each other, you are weighing in with each other." If the total weight loss for the 11 remaining members was more than 77 lbs., that's one pound per person per day, everyone would receive immunity and no one would be going home. However, if the total weight loss was 77 lbs. or less, then one member of each team would be voted off. At the end of the show, all of the contestants had weighed in except for Mike and their total weight loss was 68 lbs. meaning Mike had to lose more than 10 lbs. to keep everyone safe for another. Mike finally stepped on the scale, and after a long pause and shocked faces in the crowd, the scale showed he dropped 11 lbs. winning immunity for everyone.

Immediately following the weigh in, the teams participated in a pop challenge where another twist was announced. The teams would be facing off against each other one-on-one at the weigh in. The winner of each face off will win one point for their team and the first team to win three points will win the weigh in and the other team will have to vote someone off. Each team member had to sit with a medicine ball in his or her lap and the last player sitting chooses the match ups. Tara won the challenge and chose Mike vs. Cathy, Sione vs. Mandi, Filipe vs. Kristin, Helen vs. Ron and Laura vs. Aubrey.

In the luxury challenge competition, the teams had to carry medicine balls across a pool, up the stairs, through an obstacle course and finally a series of squat exercises. It was a close race, but once again the black team was victorious. Their reward was 24 hours of luxury at the Mandalay Beach Resort. They took full advantage of the resort living it up by getting massages, manicures and pedicures, and doing a lot of eating and drinking. They ordered full course dinners, tequila shots and spent the rest of the evening drinking at the bar. While back at the ranch, the blue team continued to work hard in the gym determined to beat the black team at the weigh in.

Despite the partying, eating and drinking the black team one the weigh in with Helen, Sione and Mike winning their face offs. The most shocking weigh in of the night was Mandi with a 2 lb. Weight gain after working hard all week. Laura participant in the voting meeting because of the extra vote she won at last week's competition. The plan was for Mandi and Cathy to each have 3 votes forcing the black team to make the final decision. With only Mandi left to vote, it was 3 votes for Mandi and 2 votes for Cathy. Mandi had a last minute change of heart and instead of voting for Cathy, she voted for Ron sending herself home.
