Biggest Loser Season 9- Daris or Koli?

Who Should Be Part of the Final Three?

The Biggest Loser ended on an emotional note, for myself and others, last night. Daris and Koli have both fallen below the yellow line and now have their fate in the hands of America to determine which one of them makes it to the final three. The voting has begun, but the question is: vote for the lovable red headed boy from Oklahoma, who lost his fat baby cheeks, or the member of team grey who is focused on nothing but the win and winning the game no matter what?

Let's consider the choices. Daris, although solitary and quiet often throughout the show, represents the heart and soul of Southern hospitality. When they came to Texas and ran a 5K, Daris lived up to his promise and ran back to make sure that every member of his team made it back across the finish line. Koli, along with his brother Sam, were motivators for most of the people on the ranch. The biggest heart tugging move was when Sam told Koli to help O'Neal (one of the older players) instead of himself, since they wanted to make sure O'Neal would be able to make it to another round.

Both of them definitely have the hearts of competitors. This could be definitely seen in the challenge two weeks ago, as Koli and Daris were the last two on the Jacob's Ladder that was suspended above a pool. Well over two hours later, they were the only two contestants left, neither of them breaking a sweat. Daris though wins the award for true athleticism.. By being the first person across the finish line in all of the running competitions that were held, Daris has shown that he truly has endurance and speed.

Although both of Daris and Koli have shown good hearts and that they are competitors, both of them also have shown that they still have things to learn in their journey of reclaiming their lives. Daris showed that when he was at home for thirty days, he quickly fell back into the old habits of late night earing for comfort. Koli, on the other hand, focuses too much on the end all goal instead of the individual small victories. This has caused him to either not eat at all or eat incorrectly, causing poor weight loss.

Based off of all of these factors, it would seem that each contestant has their own weak points and successes. Each one has their own reasons to win. Many people feel that Koli should be a member of the final three, but I believe that Daris should be the lucky person. He still has something to learn, but his heart and dedication should have its reward.
