Kuala Lumpur, 18 June 2010 - The first ever Kids TV Networks Screenings held by Media Prima Berhad (Media Prima) is set to bring TV content for children to the fore. The children's belt is serious business for the media conglomerate, which aims to further attract advertisers and viewers with the re-introduction of its TV networks' kids' belt via the screenings.

The Media Prima Kids TV Network Screenings 2010 showcases the TV3, ntv7 and TV9 kids programme line-up for the last two quarters of 2010 and the first quarter of 2011. Viewers can expect a wide array of content targeted to youngsters aged 4 to 14 years old and the young-at-heart with superb offerings from Nickelodeon, Disney, Cartoon Network and other independent providers as well as in-house programmes. The kids' belt will also be supported by ground events such as Kids Parade, Kids Camp and TV3 School Attack, further adding to top-of-mind recall and visibility for the stations and advertisers alike.

"The Media Prima Kids TV Network Screenings is an extension of our annual TV networks' screenings event, designed to showcase the very best of the stations' kids' belts to benefit advertisers and viewers alike," says Dato' Sri Farid Ridzuan, Group Chief Executive Officer, Television Networks, Media Prima.

"While Media Prima TV Networks remains the leader in terms of overall viewership, we are ramping up our TV content for children and related on-ground activations to further capture the young segment of the market, which presents a vast opportunity for advertisers to tap into. With 5 million children in the country and Media Prima TV Networks currently dominating the kids market with 52% audience share, the kids population is a major target market.

"The penetrating reach of our free-to-air stations coupled with flexible and brand-friendly advertising packages all add up to make great economic sense for advertisers to come on board our kids' belts."
