Bikki Johnson Debut Lands Spot on ABC Family Show

Bikki Johnson reminds writers that success doesn't always come in the form of a book. Her musical skills, combined with her eloquent use of the English language, have served her well this summer. Raised with an unquestioned drive toward the world of music, Bikki, fondly known by close friends as "Bix," was playing on musical instruments at the age when most of us were learning to ride our bikes without training wheels.

Her hard work and talent has paid off this week with the release of her single, titled "Underneath Your Faith," now available as an application through Fantapper. It's also scheduled to air on the Aug. 23 episode of ABC Family's show "Huge." In a personal interview, Johnson described the song as being full of "encouragement and hope." She was inspired to write the song as she watched a close friend struggle through some difficult times. The song's lyrics clearly demonstrate Bikki's faith in her friend in the way she expresses it best -- through her music.

The song, "Underneath Your Faith," is a perfect fit for ABC Family's "Huge," since the show itself is about looking deeper than the surface to find your inner beauty and strength. Nicky Blonsky and Hayley Hasslehoff star in this humorous and bittersweet family show about the lives of seven teenagers in a weight loss camp. "Huge" deals with various social issues and the developing personalities and perceptions of the teenagers as they struggle to accept who they are individually, as well as learn what true friendship really means. The lives of the camp counselors intertwine with the teens, as they all learn more than they expected to from each other.

As most of us have, Bikki Johnson has struggled with her own tragedies in life. Through her music, she found a way to use her pain, as well as her lust for life. Johnson puts everything she has into her songs. "Underneath Your Faith" is a great example of how Johnson puts all her efforts and talents into her work. Not only does she sing the lyrics she wrote, but she also wrote and played the music to it as well. The woman is a wealth of musical talent!

There is no doubt that this particular singer/songwriter/musician is only beginning her rise to fame. The presence of "Underneath Your Faith" in "Huge" is surely just the beginning of the success that Bikki Johnson is about to see coming her way. Hats off to Johnson and all her efforts.
