Bill Gates/ Bloomberg Bounty Benefits Globally

One of the noblest creations of God in the last century is the gift of a generous and global heart for uplifting mankind.This phenomenon is Bill Gates, Co founder and Chief Mentor of Microsoft. His generosity matched by resources and his concern for the poor and suffering is too well known. It is so great of him to have got Bloomberg, the New York Mayor, for jointly setting up a fund of $ 500 million for a massive anti smoking campaign. This effort is most laudable and deserves appreciation and gratitude by the entire mankind. As we all know tobacco and related products pose serious health hazards causing cancer and terminal illness in most cases with unbearable pain, agony and suffering for the victims.

The objective of the mission is a tobacco free world. Bill Gates has made tremendous invaluable and astonishing contributions to improve the quality of life in almost all spheres of activity all over the world. His mission deserves all support by the entire mankind reeling under the clutches of the evil effects of tobacco smoking which is a major cause for the killer disease cancer.

It was Aristotle who said "Law can control only actions and not motives". Similarly flush of funds to wipe off the menace of smoking can only give temporary relief and that too on the surface.

As a global citizen keenly interested in the welfare and happiness of the entire humanity, I have a humble request to Bill Gates. Ours is a century of knowledge.There is knowledge explosion. But we fail to sift the most essential and all time great knowledge. This knowledge sprouts from our ancient wisdom. Bill Gates and Bloomberg mission gives main focus on India and China. These countries have ancient heritage rooted in wisdom.

The heritage of India particularly its ancient wisdom has given out to the world a philosophy which enables man to root out the maladies of the mind and body. This is reflected in the technique of mind control and performance of yoga. Even now there are persons who are totally non smokers and free from cancer. They subscribe to the tenets of this great philosophy and live as per its edicts. The remedy is sought in mind control and at the root of thoughts.

I appeal to great souls like Bill Gates to earmark some portion of the funds of the Foundation for creating awareness of the knowledge and disseminating it. This knowledge is eternal and has tremendous potential for solving the problems and miseries of mankind. The philosophers of the past have laid the foundation and they show the beacon light for happiness through their discoveries and teachings. In this century only men like Bill Gates can provide the material means to carry the torch forward and for global coverage. They have the heart. They have the resources. They have the will. But they have to move the world. Men like Gates have noble ideas. Nothing is nobler than that of lighting the lamp of wisdom in every man and that too the lamp of right knowledge for a healthy, happy and meaningful life. This is rightly explained by Bill Gates as the mission of his foundation. May God bless him.
