Bill Gates, Enjoying the High Life

Bill Gates a Philanthropist?

Nicholas Ward
Bill Gates was once one of us, barely getting through school. As a matter of fact, many of you might not know that Bill Gates dropped out of college. Gates never finished, and yet here he remains as one of the wealthiest citizens of the U.S.

Bill Gates, and The Foundation of Microsoft Windows.

Bill Gates founded Windows when he was young, very young. To be more realistic though, the first highly acclaimed production Bill Gates ever made was DOS. The idea truly wasn't unique, or even his own. MS-DOS was derived from an earlier OS created for the Altair system. I guess it just goes to show that simply having a great idea isn't enough, you have to know how to put it to use.

Bill Gates career launched from that first IBM deal. Soon after the first IBM PCs development, other manufacturers began copying IBM hardware designs. These other companies created IBM clone PCs and in turn gave Microsoft, the rights holder for MS-DOS, a huge market to sell to.

Bill Gates, Microsofts Beginning.

This was the beginning of Microsoft as a full fledged software company and led to many more developments. All these new developments quickly earned bill Gates his first billion by the age of 32, as a self proclaimed entrepreneur and software coder.

To many Bill Gates tactics seem one sided, and closed minded. To many others, Bill Gates is an idol to be worshipped and modeled after. In Bill Gates more recent years, he's found time to enjoy his success and earnings. Finding that one of the best ways to truly enjoy his wealth is to give it away.

Bill Gates, A Philanthropist.

Bill Gates currently sinks large amounts of money into nuclear technology, as well as many other non profit, or globally required companies. More recently in Lake Tahoe, CA Bill Gates made some very bold statements.

Bill Gates currently professes to find an answer to a problem that has been plaguing society for some time now "There's no disease-modeling software" Bill said, 'with an adamant interest in filling a developmental gap'. Bill Gates continues at the conference to state, that the Terrapower effort he currently backs is 'on paper' quite amazing. But it's hard to get from here to there.

Bill Gates Retirement, and Current Interests.

Bill sinks money into this Terrapower effort for the future of mankind, not for any measurable financial gain. No longer a part of Microsoft, Bill Gates has been retired since 2008, having delegated his remaining responsibilities there to Ray Ozzie, and Craig Mundie.

While Microsoft still goes strong in the computerized world of today, Apple seems as though it may be gaining ground, with the average consumer. Bill Gates has professed his interests to more entertaining hobbies such as philanthropy.

Bill Gates Enjoying the High Life.

Bill Gates whether through illegitimate means or not, has most certainly earned his status, and while Bill has come a long way. Bill Gates has not forgotten those who remain where he once was. Through charitable donations, scholarships, and non profit organizations, his love for philanthropy has proven it's worth to the community at large.
