Peter, how exactly is it a "cop-out" to criticize the beliefs of the religious without going into detail about your own? He has no faith to speak of so his beliefs are pretty well summed up in the closing monologue. And why should he feel compelled to encourage feedback on his website, he's an entertainer.
I just watched his movie Religulous. It was a cop-out. He explained why at least some religions, were out touch with reality, but he did not venture and explain his beliefs, and why,
therefore a cop-out, putting others beliefs down, without explaining his beliefs.
Further it appears that he does not have a website that would enable him to get feedback, It appears cowardly

Dear Dana: I just saw Bill Maher "Live" here in Chicago (one night only) at the Chicago Theater, and enjoyed the program immensely. I was trying to find my article, in fact, when I stumbled upon yours. I found out that I actually did know all these things, probably from being a long-time "Politically Incorrect' and "Real Time with Bill Maher" fan. Good job, though, and an enjoyable read. (Unfortunately, for me, I misspelled his name, as I have an acquaintance with a similar name, spelled slightly differently, but, aside from that mistake, the article might interest you, as it covers his recent "live" appearance.
