As a strong supporter of the truth and stopping the spin it is my opinion that Bill O'Reilly does the right thing. Bill O'Reilly has proven to be a proverbial knight in shining armor for those of us who have had enough of the "spin". When there is truth to be told Bill O'Reilly doesn't back down regardless of who is facing on his show.
While it has been said many times, the "right choice is not always the popular choice" it has been proven to be a true statement that Bill stands for. While there are plenty of left wing nuts who on a daily basis slander and bad mouth Mr. O'Reilly, he doesn't return the atrocious behavior. Instead amazingly enough he acts like an adult, unlike those he faces who chose to drag him through the mud. Funny enough many of these left wing nuts end up on the "Most ridiculous item of the day" segment of the talk show.
Mr. O'Reilly has brought much needed attention to enforcing Jessica's law, as well as passing it into law in the few states which still stand stagnant on the issue. He has brought attention to judges who aren't doing their jobs, as in they are too incompetent to do the right thing. Some of these judges let child rapists walk free or with probation. It doesn't seem to bother anyone until these predators are living in your neighborhood!
Bill O'Reilly presents its viewers with a "fair" and balanced presentation to make up their own minds about the story. While occasionally he does interject his opinions, he usually leaves that up to the viewer. After all it is a talk show, which is meant to be thought provoking and eye opening.
The other issue which has become highly controversial is that of immigration reform. Bill O'Reilly doesn't hold back. He has had guests on the show from all walks of life and from both sides of the issue. The most controversial guest relating to these issues were probably the members of the Minute Man Project. The opposing guests on the show made it out to be that the Minute Man project was a bunch of racists. Race isn't an issue here. We are being attacked in our own country and the government is failing to protect its citizens. Worse yet is we are being called racists because we are trying to defend our country. On the flip side I don't see any of our citizens, (by the millions no less) trying to sneak into Mexico.
While we are facing such social unrest in our country at this time we truly need a forum like O'Reilly Factor to bring it to us straight and without all the added liberalist ideals. (For those of you who are not familiar with the Minute Man Project, (I strongly urge you to visit their site. We are being threatened in our very own country and no one seems to care!)
It's debatable among the democrats and republicans as to whether or not Bill O'Reilly is stopping the spin. Although one thing is clear, that with the some of the highest ratings on television there must be at least a few million people who agree with him.

Post a CommentActually, the writer is telling the truth. I used to practically despise O'Reilly, based upon the opinions of others, especially people like the previous poster. My brother and I used to get into arguments all the time because he was a faithful viewer and advocate of Mr O'Reilly's and watched his show for several years, from the beginning. I started watching by accident one night when a subject came up that I was interested in, and for the first time, I began watching and noticing that he reported and discussed BOTH sides of issues--something seldom done by the mainstream media. Now I'm a faithful and very appreciative viewer. I wish him continued success, he AND Glenn Beck!
