Billy Hunter Dreams of NBA Lockout

Jacob Horn
I love sports. I could spend every waking minute reading and studying the sporting world. I am not crazy about athletes, especially those in the NBA. They seem to be the most spoiled and the biggest idiots. I just got done reading an article on the TSN site regarding a possible NBA lockout in the near future (http://www.sportingnews.com/nba/article/2010-07-14/union-disputes-nbas-figures-prepares-for-lockout). I actually hope the player's union and the NBA cannot come to an agreement. I truly hope there is a lockout next season.

Most of you probably assume I am an NBA hater and while it is far from my favorite league, I really do enjoy following the game (thank you Fox Sports for your great fantasy game this year). The NBA has incredible athletes and as much as we talk about the lack of defense, our players proved they are the best in the world at what they do - see 2008 Olympic games for evidence. Let me also state that I understand that the owners are probably partially to blame in this mess but I do not hold them as responsible as I do the players because they are the ones taking the gambles. They are the ones who bring the money to the table and they can lose a whole lot of money in the process (and make a whole lot of money). We call this capitalism in America. A system that seems to be going by the wayside everyday. The belief that through hard work, taking risks, and a little luck you can make a little more money than you invested. Billy Hunter does not seem to understand this and I am sick of him and his organization.

I hope the players get locked out next year. I hope they suffer through a year of only making $50,000 to $100,000 from the interest they accrue from what is in their accounts. Most of them probably would not have that much interest since most of them cannot even spell the world responsibility. Let me conclude by saying that I understand that NBA players do a lot of good things in their communities. I know many of them cherish the game and would probably play for nothing. Unfortunately, it is easy to identify a whole league based on a few spoiled brats. The fans deserve better than to have to put up with these morons.
