Billy Killdeere

By Lee Aaron Wilson

Synopsis:

Billy Killdeere tried to live the life of an average man. He left his outlaw ways behind him, and chose instead to operate the family ranch. His past soon catches up with him, however, sending him once again on the run. Billy is hunted by the law, his family, and the people he had considered to be his friends.

Enter a man Billy once saved--a man who decides to help the now wounded Billy, a man whose daughter Jenny catches Billy's eye and heart. The feelings are not mutual. In the beginning, Jenny is wary of this former outlaw; but over time her guard softens and her feelings for Billy change. Billy knows deep down that he cannot marry Jenny. He knows that his past will never allow him such normalcy. Yet his feelings for her drive him to try. Billy once again hangs up his gun and tries to live a normal life.

Billy's fears are proven true when he is found by his Uncle Moses. Moses forces Billy to rejoin the Killdeere gang by taking Jenny prisoner. When the big job goes wrong, it is Billy who is blamed and Jenny who is threatened. Billy is left on the trail without his horse or his gun, and it will take everything he has to fight against the angered Killdeere gang, the approaching posse, and to rescue Jenny.
