Coffee Shops
Neighborhood: Binghamton
Binghamton, NY 13905
United States of America
I love having universities or community colleges in town; they make the towns, neighborhoods more lively in every way. Binghamton has quite a few coffee shops, thanks to the diverse university student population for that.

I will list my favorite coffee shops in Binghamton, comparing the food quality, service, hours and prices.

1. CyberCafe West (176 Main Street)
Yes, this is my favorite coffee shop in Binghamton. I feel very comfortable there. When I go alone to study or read something, I can always find a quite spot, either upstairs or at the back. The internet connection works great too. When I go with friends, I sit at the front and don't have to worry about disturbing people who are studying. I love their lattes and they are cheaper than the Starbucks latte. They have great options of wraps, it is a heaven for a vegetarian. They have soups, salads, sandwiches, Quesadillas, Nachos and many desert options.

One of the best things about CyberCafe is the people who work there. They are always very sweet, nice people. It is self service so you only tip if you want to. But believe me, you will want to.

Another thing and a very important to the smokers is that they have a porch. In this cafe you can smoke and drink on the back porch. It is great especially if you are having a beer, or a glass of wine.
The only thing that I don't like about CyberCafe is their rest room. It is not very clean and it is not very comfortable. I think they are trying to improve that but it looks like it is going very slow.

2. Java Joe's (81 State Street)
This is a great coffee shop to study, read and have a delicious wrap. The staff is great, the prices are reasonable. They have great coffee.
Java Joe's is not as hipster as CyberCafe, they have more adult customers who work in the area. The rest rooms are much cleaner than the Cyber Cafe restrooms.
The only bad thing is their working hours, they are closed most of the time. Only breakfast and lunch, and closed on Sundays.

3.Crepe Heaven (217 Main Street)
Have a crepe with Nutella and you are in heaven. It is so delicious, satisfying and not as heavy as some other American deserts. I am so glad to have Crepe Heaven in town.
The owner is Eastern European and you will feel that when you look at the menu. They have Turkish Coffee, they have very interesting and not at all disappointing deserts. I loved the lemon pie. Their chicken, vegetable deserts are very good too.
Crepe Heaven looks serious, a little boring but I like its simplicity. I am not sure if I like having a TV in a coffee shop but it doesn't bother me too much.
The prices are reasonable, the crepes are always delicious, the sandwiches are great too.

4.Coffee Kiosk (Binghamton University, Library Tower)
I can not-not write about the coffee kiosk in the University. It is one of the best things to remember from the University.
The coffees are a little expensive for a university but they taste really good. I am so glad that we have the coffee kiosk on campus instead of a Starbucks or Dunkin' Donuts.
They sell fruits, sandwiches and their latte is great. The regular coffee is not bad either.

Enjoy your coffee, crepe, wraps and a great conversation in the Binghamton coffee shops.
