Bio True Multi-Purpose Solution for Contact Lenses is Better Than Most

Susan Slade
Bio True Multi-Purpose Solution for contact lenses was another one of the CVS offers in the Sunday paper. You pay $2.99 and get extra bucks rewards of $2.99, so it's like getting it for free.

I paid for that first, and then got a gallon of milk, and dish soap, with my rewards, and only paid 94 cents. I love the fact that CVS and Walgreen's drugstore do this. I get new items, and grocery items I would normally purchase for free, or next to free.

Back to Bausch & Lomb Bio True Multi-Purpose Solution. It states on the box that it is 'inspired by the biology of your eyes'.

I took the round, clear plastic bottle out of the box, and looked for the directions. There was a leaflet in with it, with a $1.00 of coupon, and on the other side an introduction to this product. I found out on the box that you have to read the inside of the box for directions. So I had to cut up the box to get to them.

Back to the bottle, it has a plastic seal over the top of the bottle, and I had to use a box cutter to remove it. The top, or stopper, then lifts up, and is supported by plastic, that attaches it to the top of the bottle.

Directions:

Put at least 3 drops on each side of the lens, and rub gently for 20 seconds.

Rinse each side of the lens in the solution for 5 seconds.

Put solution in each side of lens case, and put lenses in to soak for at least 4 hours. Change solution after each use.

Len does get build up on his lens, and was almost out of his last solution, so before he put his contacts in, I took them out of the old solution and washed, and rinsed them with the Bio True Multi-Purpose Solution.

He then put them in, and wore them all day, and evening. I asked him at the end of the day how his eyes felt. He told me that he couldn't feel the contact lenses, which is great. On odd occasions he feels as if he has grit in his eye, or they just annoy him.

So that night he tipped away the old solution, and soaked them in the Bio True. They stayed in for over 8 hours. In the morning he cleaned them, and put them in.

Later that day I asked again how his eyes were, and how the contact lenses felt. He had to think for a moment, because it felt as if he didn't have any in.

What Bausch & Lomb say about their product:

'Nature has always inspired new ideas. It's called bio-inspiration. And it's leading to some of today's biggest breakthroughs - including a lens care solution that looks for inspiration from the most natural place - the eye.

Introducing Biotrue™ - the new multi-purpose solution. A solution that's almost as remarkable as the eye itself.

Biotrue™ goes beyond unsurpassed disinfection by bringing together three bio-inspired innovations: it matches the pH of healthy tears, utilizes a lubricant found in eyes, and keeps certain beneficial tear proteins active.'

Len really likes this product. It comes in a 2 fluid ounce bottle. The writing on the bottle is very difficult to read, as the clear plastic has a pattern on it. I had to read the instructions with my bifocal glasses, and a magnifying glass. Why can't they make information larger. There is no way anyone could read it without their contacts in.

This is a product that I will purchase again. Having the $1 coupon will make it a great price.

DISCLOSURE OF MATERIAL CONNECTION:
Paid $2.99 at CVS and got $2.99 back in register rewards.
