Biography of Actress Kristen Chenoweth of The West Wing

Kristen Chenoweth, also known as TV's Annabeth Schott on the West Wing, is a very well rounded individual. Known as a very talented actress and musician, Kristen was born on July the 24th of 1968 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma USA. Her story is a deep one, being an adopted child and one fourth Cherokee Indian.

Kristen Chenoweth was destined for success write out of college. As a graduate of Oklahoma City University and member of the sorority Gamma Phi Beta, she received not only a bachelor's degree in musical theater, but a master's degree in opera performance. She also placed second in a Miss Oklahoma pagent. After school she utilized her many skills in some very exciting roles. First she spent some time gracing Broadway with her theatrical talents, then spent some time appearing on London's popular West End. She is especially known in the US, for her reoccurring role on NBC's West Wing in 2004. Never being the one to underachieve she won a Tony award for Best Performance by a Featured Actress.

When Kristen won her Tony award she didn't stop her career there. She still does concerts around the world and has recently performed at the Disney Concert Hall in California, on February 26. She was also spotted performing the song "Oklahoma" in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade of 2005. In a New York City she also performed in three shows at the Series Encore Great American Musicals. She was in: Strike Up the Band, On a Clear Day You Can See Forever. The most recently performed Apple Tree was a guaranteed hit. Being trained in the art of Operatic singing these performances seemed effortless. Of course as stated before her resume isn't limited to singing. She is also known for her acting as Maria Kelly in the 2005 remake of Bewitched, her 2006 role as Mary Jo in R.V, and her role as baby in Asphalt Beach. Kristen was quoted in saying, "I am constantly learning, and that is the greatest gift of life in my opinion, to always be learning and growing.

Kristen Chenoweth is a all around great individual. In Guidepost Magazine, she was quoted in stating, "I was a spiritual kid." And throughout her career and life she has proved herself to be a wonderful adult.
