Fernando Jose Torres Sanz is a Spanish footballer (soccer player to you Americans!) born March 20, 1984. He is the star striker for Liverpool in the English Premier League as well as his home country of Spain.

Torres began his rampage and earned his title of "El Nino" while playing for Atletico Madrid, where he scored 75 goals in 174 games. He has played for Spain in the 2004 UEFA Euro cup, the 2006 World Cup, and this past year's UEFA Euro cup, where he scored the game winner over Germany.
