Max Crumm was born as Aaron Maximillian Crumm on October 8th, 1985 in Pasadena, California. His friends and family call him Maxie at home. The show is set to launch on Broadway sometime later this summer and rehearsals are expected to begin in June.
When the reality show competition ended, producers of the revival had bragged that ticket sales totaled more than $9 million in advance sales because of the success of the TV show "Grease: You're the One that I Want." That might not have been the case. It seems that according to a New York Post theater columnist, Michael Riedel, the New York switchboard for Ticketmaster was bombarded with calls from ticket buyers who had watched the final episode on Sunday and wanted their money back. It seems that the callers were not too happy with the chosen actors to play the parts.
Many people were disappointed because they wanted Austin Miller and Ashley Spencer to win. These two kids were just the runners-up. Someone speaking for the television show said there were not a "substantial number of calls" for those wanting their money back.
When Maxie was only in sixth grade, he contracted bells palsy in his face. It was after this tragic incident that young Maxie had to learn how to use his face all over again and learn to speak for a second time. It is great to see he has overcome any obstacle regarding his former medical condition.
While Max Crumm was competing in Grease: You're the One That I Want, his hometown had bumper stickers made to say "Vote For Max" to help him succeed in the competition. While waiting for his big break, Max worked as a gym receptionist.
Max is no stranger to the stage. He has been in many local theater productions and in a few independent films. He was so confident he would win the part that he had no alternate plan if he lost the contest on Grease: You're the One That I Want. Our Maxie is an extremely competitive fellow.
Max's dad was once an owner of a theatre company, so it is no wonder that Max caught the acting bug. His mother is an artist herself as she makes jewelry. It just goes to show you that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
