Biography of Pamela Anderson (Anderson-Lee)

An Actress, an Activist and How She Uses Her Assets

Rosallee Scott
The biography of Pamela Anderson reads almost like any other model and/or actress. Born Pamela Denise Anderson on July 1, 1967 in Ladysmith, British Columbia, Canada, her biography is full of ups and downs, both in her career and her personal life. The one place that this blonde bombshell has excelled is in the area of activism. That is why I use the term "almost" when describing her biography against another's. Some may criticize her for her acting skills or her "typical dumb blonde looks" but no one can read her biography and think that she is untalented or dumb. As far as her looks are concerned, Pamela Anderson does encompass, in fact exaggerate, the ultimate women. She is almost like a big cartoon character (think of a blonde Jessica Rabbit) but I personally feel that it adds to her appeal and it sure doesn't hurt when it comes to promoting one of the many causes she is involved with. She is the mother of two beautiful children and has been married and divorced and engaged and dating and…Well, haven't a lot of people? This biography will concentrate on her career. Her personal life, as good as a read I am sure it is, can be looked up anywhere.

Pam has stated that Hugh Hefner is like a father to her so I have to list some of her famous Playboy Covers:
October 1989: "Bold Back To Campus Issue"
July 1992
August 1993
February 1990
February 1991
November 1994
January 1996
September 1997
June 1998 "Baywatch Babes" Issue
February 1999
July 2001
I know that there have been more since then and I probably missed a few in-between but shall we move on to something a little more substantial like:

Her Activism/Non-Profit Organizations:
Pamela also almost bares it all for the P.E.T.A. (People Against unethical Treatment of Animals) campaign in publications such as "Turn Over A New Leaf…Try Vegetariism", "Give Fur The Cold Shoulder" and "I'd rather Go Naked… Then Wear Fur".
She has also appeared in a video entitled "Is This Any Way to Treat a Relative?" released by the organization in June of 2004 and speaks out against the fast food restaurant K.F.C. (Kentucky Fried Chicken) and the corporation's cruel treatment of the chickens that it raises in June of 2005. In July of the same year, she also records her opinions on Hollywood's use of animals and in September of 2005 is part of the release of "AID's and Animal Testing". She is very active in every area of P.E.T.A. causes, including in participating in Comedy Central's 2005 Roast of her, so long as that all the proceeds were donated to her favorite charity. More can be found out about this organization through Pamela Anderson's website or you can check out the P.E.T.A. site at: http://peta.org/

Pam also models for M*A*C Viva Glam Lipstick, where 100% of the profit goes to those affected by AIDS/HIV. Her website states that buying just one tube "M*A*C Viva Glam Lipstick can provide one month of food, shelter, basic medical and psychosocial care and schooling for children orphaned by AIDS" in Africa or "will pay for four HIV tests" in New York. More information about this non-profit organization can be found at: http://www.maccosmetics.com or http://macaidsfund.org/

So you see, Pamela Anderson does have Brains as well as, um…Braun. She, like other glamorous people, does use her assets for good and I'm not just talking about filling up the walls of my husband's garage either.
