Biography of X Games Athlete Dave Mirra

Dave Mirra was born on April 4, 1974 in Chittenango, New York. He is arguably the most popular and best professional BMX rider of all-time. He has won almost every event he has entered during his fifteen year career.

Dave Mirra earned the nickname "Miracle Boy" from his fans that have followed his career at many large events including the X Games. Dave Mirra has more X Games medals than anyone else in history. He has won a total of twenty X Games medals, fourteen of which are gold.

Many of Dave Mirra's fans admire his complete passion for riding. He has won an X Games medal in every single BMX event.

Dave Mirra is a rider who has never followed the crowd, but rather he has created many new tricks throughout his career. One of his most famous tricks is his 360 no-handed backflip.

Dave Mirra was sponsored by Haro Bikes for nearly his entire career. After eleven years with the company, he started his own biking company which is called MirraCo. Mirra has signed other riders including Ryan Guettler and Mike Laird onto Haro Bikes.

While Dave has earned some money for winning competitions, his main sources of income are all of the outside opportunities he has been connected with. He has his own video game called "Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX." There is also a biography of Dave called "Mirra Images." Along with hosting MTV's "Real World vs. Roadrules: The Inferno," Dave Mirra has also appeared on many talk shows including "The Late Show with David Letterman."
