Bionic Commando Tips and Tricks

Bionic Commando for the Xbox 360 and PS3 is actually a sequel to the original game and its remake Bionic Commando: Rearmed. With a whole new world to explore with your swing arm action, you're going to need a few tips and tricks to get you through the game.

When faced with the Buraq helicopter battle, conventional methods just don't seem to work. To take it down, you need to lock on to all three sections before letting your missiles fly. This is because the helicopter's flares can only take out two projectiles at once, ensuring that the third will hit. When the pilot calls in the Polycraft for back up, just take them out with your rocket launcher or Tarantula before putting your focus back on the helicopter.

The rushing Berserker Biomechs can be some truly annoying enemies. There are a couple different ways to approach a fight with them, each effective in their own ways. The simplest method is to evade their rushes and the Zip Kick them from behind directly afterwards. Throwing objects at them and then firing off a round when they are slowed down is another good method. Finally, performing Death from Above will knock them on their backs, giving you another Zip Kick opportunity when they are trying to get back up. This method also works if you wish to perform an Adrenaline finishing move on any mech.

Lancer Biomechs are another tough enemy to deal with due to their Hip Cutter laser attack and their tendency to stay just out of melee range. The best strategy is to throw a grenade at them and then throw their Hip Cutter at them should they drop it. This deals plenty of damage and opens up the chance to deliver the finishing blow.

If you have Bionic Commando: Rearmed on your hard drive, you can unlock special codes for this game. The database will automatically contain the code for the Retro Outfit but the other two need to be located. Head to Area A in Rearmed to find a FSA icon behind an electric barrier to get the code for the Prototype Weapon. After you've collected all the Yashichis in Rearmed, you can go through the Yashichi Door and get the code for the Purple Matrix. It's essentially a bragging rights reward since the Purple Matrix just gives you access to a secret room in Bionic Commando.
