Biore Pore Perfect: Pore Unclogging Scrub

I recently decided to try some Biore products. Their higher price tag had me thinking maybe their products were better than some of the others I normally use. The Biore Pore Perfect Unclogging Scrub was one of the products I decided to try. While it's a really good product, you can get the same results from some of the cheaper products.

I love scrubs. I've used St. Ives medicated apricot scrub since I was around 13 years old. Once I was married with children, in an effort to save money, I switched to the generic Walmart brand Equate. They have a medicated apricot scrub also and to be honest, I can't tell the difference except for the significant one in price. As our finances became more stable, I began to spend more on cosmetics and beauty products, but stuck with the Equate Apricot Scrub because I was used to it.

So, the last time I ran out of it, I decided to spend a little more money on my facial cleanser. Biore is a brand name I always hear, so I decided to try their pore unclogging scrub. It was quite a bit more than my usual scrub, ($4 more) but I decided my face was worth it and bought it.

That night, I used it for the first time in the shower. It's actually a really good cleanser. My face felt clean after using it and it has a pleasant smell and rinses easily. It comes with a flip top lid, so it's simple to open and close while showering. I continue to use it every day.

There are only a few complaints I have about the Biore Pore Perfect Unclogging Scrub. The first is that it's a little slimy feeling to me. This isn't a big deal because the end result was still a clean feeling face. Also, and this is my biggest complaint. It's not much of a scrub. The scrub I'm used to using actually feels like you are exfoliating your face. The Biore Pore Perfect Unclogging Scub has the beads in it, but it's so gentle that it's more like a cleanser only to me.

The next day, I went back to Walmart and purchased my regular scrub. I do continue to use the Biore, but I use it with my other scrub. I will continue to use it until it is gone, but I don't see myself purchasing it again. I can save so much money by using the Equate Apricot Scrub and it makes my face feel a lot better. The Biore Scrub is good and I do recommend it, but I feel your money could be better spent on other products, depending on what you like.
