Bipolar Mania Support Resources

Daniel Erickson
If you suffer from bipolar mania disorder (BPDm), this is the guide for you. You can join countless others who are in the same boat as you and talk with them about your personal experiences. This will not only yield more information for you, but also give you a more individual profile on which will, in the end, help you in your journey to recovery.

FacingBipolar.com

One of the best 'self help' websites that I know of personally is FacingBipolar.com. This website is an absolute gift to all of us who suffer from BPDm. They have everything that will help you from accepting the diagnosis to leading a normal and controlled life. They even go as far as offering you forms and print-outs for you to keep record of your moods and any changes thereof. You can track everything you need to and get informational support to help you know what you are up against.

DBSAThe Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance

The Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance website provides you with access to thousands of people facing the same condition as you are. You can learn about your mania and other disorders, donate to support bipolar research, empower yourself with information, and even find local support groups in your area! The DBSA is there for you and driven by its members, just about all of which suffer from BPDm or are doctors - or both!

NAMI Connection National Alliance on Mental Illness

The National Alliance on Mental Illness Connection website is a nationally recognized community for those who have any type of mental illness. Their website is easy to use and free to signup. You can introduce yourself and post your questions or comments or even help others with their problems. It is just like most other web forums but is specifically dedicated to those with a mental illness such as BPDm.

Support4Hope

Support4Hope is a website built for many different mental problems. They have a plethora of information, groups, and tests to help you through this difficult time.

Pendulum

Pendulum.org provides you with an entire database of information and support for bipolar disorder. Find anything you need to know or ask any questions you may have here. It is one of the leading bipolar support websites on the internet today. They have news, information, and support. They even have information, guidelines, and an immense information library about medications, what they do, how they work, and even the side effects. They have just about everything.

BipolarConnect.com

Again, they have everything. You can connect with others, share, or collect information. Actual doctors who specialize in mental illnesses run and support this website. You can ask questions directly to doctors, for those of you who cannot afford them. I do, however, suggest consulting a psychiatrist/physician in person to get personalized suggestions and treatments. Nonetheless, the online doctors can be a huge help to you on an outer level.
