Birds Eye Steamfresh Lightly Sauced Rotini and Broccoli with Chese Sauce Review

I am always on the lookout for something new to add to my family's menu, especcially when it can be used as both a meal or a side dish. I was happy to try Birds Eye Steamfresh Lightly Sauced Rotini and Broccoli with Cheese Sauce when I found it in Walmart's freezer.

Birds Eye Steamfresh Lightly Sauced Rotini and Broccoli with Cheese Sauce is incredibly easy and quick to cook. Simply lay the bag in the microwave and cook for five minutes. After allowing the bag to rest in the microwave for one minute, tear the bag open at the perforation and pour into a serving dish.

I was a little surprised at the way it looked when I poured it into a serving dish. I had to remind myself that the package did say Lightly Sauced, so I shouldn't have been surprised. However, once I started eating the Rotini noodles and the broccoli, I found that there was plenty of sauce to taste. I was just apparently accustomed to heavy cheese sauce. Delightfully, the noodles and the broccoli were both cooked perfectly and were not too mushy or firm. Also, the amount of broccoli wasn't excessive which enabled me to persuade my son to eat it despite his dislike of green vegetables.

One package of the Birds Eye Steamfresh Lightly Sauced Rotini and Broccoli with Cheese Sauce has two servings. However, if it is going to be used as a side dish and not the entire meal, then I would suggest that it can be divided to feed three or four.

One full serving of Birds Eye Steamfresh Rotini and Broccoli with Cheese Sauce has only six percent of your daily alowance of fat. It also has twenty-five percent of your needed daily calcium, twenty percent of Vitamin C and eight percent Iron, which sounds like it is a great bargain. However, each serving also has twenty-five percent of the daily allowance for sodium which makes this possibly a bad meal for those suffering with High Blood Pressure and other medical conditions.

I would recommend Birds Eye Steamfresh Rotini and Broccoli with Cheese Sauce to most people. The cost is relatively low, only about two and a half dollars. And since it can be used as a side dish or as a meal while taking only minutes to cook, it is something to keep on hand for a moment's notice.
