Birmingham Art Blast

The Birmingham Bloomfield Art Center recently held its fifth annual Art Blast. The evening featured tasty hors d'oeuvres and great conversation. Of course, the art was often a topic. Soon after the dark, most of the guests went outside to watch the Birmingham fireworks.

Upon arrival, there was a red carpet leading into the building, all part of the Hollywood-themed event. Decorations and the menu were also part of the theme, but I was unable to understand exactly how sliders and four-cheese pizza were exclusive to Hollywood. Regardless, the food was excellent.

The Art Center offers more than 500 different classes during the year. According to its literature, over 4,000 students attend the classes and come from all age and skill levels. That was apparent from the crowd at the Art Blast, as just about every age group was well-represented.
