Birmingham Hiring IT Student

If you're a student interested in pursuing a career in Information Technology, an internship with the City of Birmingham would be a great resume builder. The city is seeking to fill an I.T. Internship and will be accepting applications until 4:00 p.m. on October 28. The intern will report to the city's Information Technology Department and will assist in I.T. projects and operation procedures.

The position is open to junior, senior, or graduate level students who are going into I.T. or related fields. According to the application, the city is seeking a candidate who can work independently and exercise judgment when appropriate. Also, communication skills, both written and oral, will be taken into consideration. A cover letter, two references, and a completed application, which can be found online, are necessary to apply.
