Apparently, two men walked up to the house and began speaking with the homeowner about a lawn service. One of the men pulled out a gun and demanded money. The homeowner handed over cash, his wedding ring and his cell phone before the suspects ordered him back into the house. At that point, they slammed the door and took off in a white Jeep Cherokee with chrome wheels.
A neighbor down the street told police that the two had walked up to her door earlier, but she did not answer.
The suspects are described as two black males, one short and one tall. Birmingham Police are asking anyone with information to come forward.
