There are different types of IUDs, but they all end up doing the same thing, preventing pregnancy. Some use copper devices and some use progestin.

There are a lot more birth control possibilities on the market. These however are fully compatible to the idea of preventing pregnancy.

There are many options, even in an emergency situation. These are not things you should be planning in as a way to prevent pregnancies in the long run. These are only available to repair oops situations and you need to go see a doctor or a pharmacy to have access to it. If you are one of these women who deny reality and rely on these possibilities then you really need to do some soul searching and some investigating. Abortion or emergency contraceptives are not birth control methods that you should consider lightly.
