1- Card
-You can never fail with a card. Whether you are one of those sentimental people who like to lay it all out there, or if you just want to say a few nice words and Happy Birthday, your Dad will be happy. I always try to take time to write a sweet birthday card for my Dad that lets him know how much I love him and how important he is to me.
2- Picture Frame
-This is an easy way to make your Dad happy on his birthday. You know that he loves showing you off and will be happy about a new frame to set up. This is a simple gift idea that doesn't cost a lot but will mean the world to your Dad. Try to get a picture of the two of you together, he will love setting it up in his office, on his dresser, or just somewhere around the house.
3- Gift Card to Bass Pro Shops
-Here is another one of those you never fail gifts. Every guy can find something at Bass Pro Shops. I would say buy your dad something for hunting or fishing, but I have never quite understood any of that and my dad loves it- so by buying him a gift card to his favorite store, it makes him feel like a kid in a toy store. I know gift cards sound tacky and you want to get your dad something meaningful- but seriously, to him, that fishing rod he gets, or the hunting equipment- it will be worth it.
4- DVDs
-Now try to prove me wrong, but I feel like guys are obsessed with movies- even "older" guys. This is one thing that I can always count on to get my dad if I have no other ideas. You can even watch the DVD with your dad, and that creates a chance for bonding time. Might sound lame, but it will make him happy, trust me.
5-Something with your school logo
-No matter what grade level you are, your Dad will love something with your school logo on it. Since I go to a large university, it is easy for me to find all kinds of things with my school logo on them to get my dad for the holidays. You can get him a sweatshirt, bumper sticker, blanket, or whatever you think he might like. If it has your school logo on it he will love it because he will be able to show it off and it will give him the opportunity to talk about you wherever he goes. Sounds a little vain doesn't it? Well, it's the truth.
So there are my tips for Birthday gifts to get your Dad. If you can't find something here then you may be out of luck, but I feel like any of these options, or a combination of some, will make any Father happy.
