Birthday Parties in Orlando

Finding the perfect hot spot for your child's birthday is a demand mother's contend with every year. If you're anything like I am, you plan months ahead of schedule to find the ideal place where everyone, including yourself, is going to have a nice time.

Orlando is definitely a thriving metropolis and has many opportunities for any child's birthday party, no matter what your families' budget is. A good time can and will be had.

Some extravagant birthday parties, perhaps planned for a special birthday, maybe five or double digits include, but aren't limited to Disney, and SeaWorld.

Disney, almost every child's place to fulfill their magic, and perhaps your dreams offers several options for your perfect celebration.

There are several resorts that hold birthday parties, including Animal Kingdom Lodge, Harbor Club at one of the Boardwalk Resorts, or the Sandcastle Club at the Beach Club Resort. These party packages start at the $200 range and are grouped based on a party size of twelve kids, between 10-2. Larger parties can be accommodated. Figure about twenty extra dollars per child attending. These packages include beverages and cake, along with a craft and a personal party assistant, and you have the option to add on additional food as well. Generally the cost for this is five to six dollars a child for pizza or hamburgers. Any Disney party can be booked through the Disney Recreation Department.

Through the Beach and Yacht club, Disney also has a birthday cruise, during the fireworks in the evening. A pontoon boat reservation, holding a maximum of sixteen people is priced at $220. This includes cake and beverages. The times are dependent on when the fireworks are during that time of year, but generally between 9-10 p.m. and the cruise lasts 90-minutes.

At Winter Summerland, children can play a round of mini-golf. A minimum reservation of ten guests is required, and the cost is per child at $15.95 a person. This includes a meal of pizza, cake, beverages, and one round of golf. The parties are scheduled to last two hours, and they can accommodate a variety of times to fit your needs.

SeaWorld also has some fun party packages, including Shamu's Bash. This is a five-hour, private event which includes some park time for your party guests, a decorated room with pizza, beverages and cake. You have the opportunity to participate in two animal feeding sessions with your party guests, and this includes invitations and parking for your guests. They also have a character visit your party room, and a gift for the birthday child. This party package is designed for a maximum of twenty children at the price of $825 including tax. There are discounts for pass-holders, an added plus for Florida Residents. Party times are scheduled during the weekend.

They also have an overnight program where you can slumber next to your favorite animals. This includes the same food as the Shamu Bash, but with the overnight slumber. This party price is $1495 with tax. Reservations can be made directly through SeaWorld.

Some less costly party packages in Orlando that are fun for all ages include the Orlando Science Center, and Pinocchio's Marionette Theater. Both have optioned party packages.

The Orlando Science Center has three different packages. With the packages, you choose amongst a variety of kid-friendly themes for the hands-on activities. Package 1 includes all day admission to the Orlando Science Center with 60 minutes of hands-on activities with a birthday host. This includes cake, beverages, and snacks. There is a maximum of ten children for this particular package. The cost for this package is $250, with a membership discount.

Package Two includes 90 minutes of hands-on activities with a birthday host, and a maximum of fifteen guests, in addition to the food listed above. The price for this package is $350 with a membership discount.

Package Three includes two full hours of hands-on activities with a birthday host, with a maximum of twenty children, a CineDome film presentation, and goody bags. The cost for this package is $450 with a membership discount.

Pinocchio's Marionette Theater also has some great party packages designed for birthday hungry friends. The party includes the puppet show experience. See a real marionette puppet show, right in your town. This theater is one of a dozen still working in the United States.

The Deluxe Party package includes admission for up to twelve children, with accompanying adult, reserved seating, special gift for the birthday child, private party room for after show, with paper products and clean up. Cost for this package is based on twelve children at $175. There is an additional cost of $13 per additional child.

The Regal Party package includes the same as above, with all plastic goods (forks, knives, cups), and helium balloons for $200 for up to twelve guests.

The Perfect Party package offers all of the above with invitations personally sent from the theater to your invite list, as well as exclusive or private use of the theater and party rooms.

Other fun parties include Green Meadows Farm and Chuck E Cheese.

Green Meadows Farm is a working farm, where your party takes a walking tour of the facility and has an opportunity to pet and learn about a variety of animals, including ducks, pigs, geese, chickens, cows, and more. Party minimum is 20 guests and the rate per guest is $10.00. This is a great family gathering opportunity. Chuck E Cheese is a favorite of many children. One of the reasons many families choose Chuck E Cheese is because they have great flexibility and offer options other party locations don't. They offer a wider range of guests, from as little as ten for a large table, that includes your meal (pizza), cake, and tokens for every child. The rates per party depend on the number of guests you'll have, but range from as low as $150.00. Chuck E Cheese also has great weekday discounts, for summer birthdays or parties that will include non school-aged children, or homeschoolers.

Even with the variety of options already listed, there are still so many more in the Orlando area. Many restaurants, such as Hard Rock cater to groups with a reservation and minimum guest amount for meals, dessert, parties, and more. Just call your favorite restaurant for more details.

There are also many parks and recreation areas throughout Orlando that you can rent space at your favorite facility to hold a special birthday event. Space is usually limited and often on a first-come, first-serve basis, but you can find out by calling your local county Parks and Representatives Department.
