One of the most unique birthday experiences for children happens at the Chattanooga Zoo. Hosted in the Zoo's training center, staff brings in a select group of animals to pet and play with. But that's not all. Staff members will also take your birthday group on a guided tour of the zoo, providing insight and answering questions about the animals. Birthday parties come with free admission to the zoo, so after the party is over, guests can continue to roam the grounds until they're ready to leave. For more information call 423-697-1322 or visit http://www.chattanooga.gov/PRAC/30_Zoo.htm
Kids love to run and jump, and the chance to do it in an unstructured setting makes for a birthday to remember. Gymnastics Center of Chattanooga includes balance beams, uneven bars, and a tumble track with a pit of foam to jump into. Kids get time to play, with instructors on hand for guidance and assistance. Also, play time comes first so kids don't run and jump right after eating. For more information call 423-238-5258 or visit http://gymcc.com.
If gymnastics isn't your child's cup of tea, but they still love to run and jump, Playworld Down Under offers a viable alternative. Kids will work themselves into a frenzy exploring all the climbing areas within this indoor playground. Remember to wear socks. For more information call 423-892-7529 or visit http://playworlddownunder.com
Trade the climbing devices for inflatable's, and you've got Partyville. The setting resembles an indoor carnival with plenty of stations to visit. Picture a 10,000 square foot arena. Some of the inflatable's can be handheld, like whack-a-mole hammers. For more information call 423-870-7827 or visit http://www.mypartyville.com
Chattanooga is home of the Choo-Choo, so what better way to celebrate a milestone than hopping aboard a train. The Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum features three settings to choose from for your celebration. But the party wouldn't be complete without a ride aboard the Missionary Ridge Local. The train ride is approximately 45-55 minutes in length. For more information call 423-894-8028 ext. 12 or visit http://www.tvrail.com
Several other opportunities will make your child's birthday one to remember. They can explore caverns at Ruby Falls, (800-755-7105 or rubyfalls.com) book a pool party at the YMCA, (423-266-YMCA or ymcachattanooga.org) go skating at Hamilton Skate, (423-899-1788 or hamiltonskate.com) or hang with Chuck E Cheese while playing video games and eating pizza (423-870-3215 or chuckecheese.com)

Post a CommentAll of these ideas are great, but I booked my sons birthday with rolling video games last week and it was great. We didn't even leave home. They pull out a huge mobile gaming theater with huge flat screens, and all of the games and game systems you can think of. They sent me rsvp invitations and an ice-cream cakes from DQ. I would recommend it to anyone who has a birthday party or fundraiser coming up. Their website is rollingvideogames.com
Great article! It is hard to nail down all the venues available in Chattanooga. There is a great site that does just that: www.chattanoogabirthdayparty.com
