Biscotti’s Restaurant

Biscotti's, in Reno's Peppermill Resort Spa Casino, is a very unique and elegant casual dining location. You will find Biscotti's in the convention area of the Peppermill Resort Spa Casino, not too far from the pool area. A vibrant atmosphere of deep red, lively yellow colors and a generous array of shrubbery create an alert mood as you dine.

Biscotti's offers an assortment of breakfast, lunch, dinner and desserts to choose from that covers all areas of taste buds. Whether it's Asian, Italian, a good ol' burger, or you're craving soup and salad, Biscotti's has it all. With a reasonably priced menu, two can dine easily for under $35, and more than likely take most of your meal to go as the portions are very generous.

I had the pleasure of ordering the Waldorf Chicken Salad Sandwich for $12. This monster of a sandwich was created on two thick slices of Country Wheat Bread. The chicken salad itself included large chunks of fresh chicken breast, grapes, green apples, raisins, walnuts, celery, mayo, and butter lettuce. This sandwich was to die for! I have never had a chicken salad sandwich so freshly made and that was so generous in size. The sandwiches were also served with the basic French fries, which weren't that savory. But with a main entrée such as the chicken salad sandwich, the side dish wasn't going to win over the main dish.

Several of my co-workers had ordered the Grilled Five Onion Soup for $6 and had ranted and raved of how delicious it was. Personally, I'm not a fan of onion soup, but this bowl of soup had Mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses bubbling over the sides of the bowl and smelled amazing.

Now, the desserts were a different story entirely. Biscotti's has a small café right next door to the main restaurant that is home to their desserts, espressos, coffees, gelato and pastries. Here, I overindulged trying their gelato, one of their made to order crepes, as well as their chocolate dessert cakes.

Completely mouth-watering is the only way to describe every one of the café items I tried. The mint chocolate chip gelato, one scoop on a waffle cone could feed two people easily. The Banana Foster crepe was so rich and drenched in syrup. One slice of the decadent chocolate cake was full of flavor, very sweet, and the portion size fed three people's sweet tooth.

I highly recommend dining at Biscotti's at the Peppermill Resort Spa Casino the next time you are in the Reno area. Your taste buds and stomach will love you for it!
