It does not look like the publicity around Bishop Eddie Long's sexual abuse allegations will be going away any time soon. .

Reuben Armstrong, the controversial talk show host and best selling author continues working towards Bishop Long to step down from the pulpit and he is not alone.

The pastor of the New Birth Missionary Church in Georgia, Bishop Long, has been accused of sexual abuse against young boys in his church. In the court documents, he is accused of "grooming these young boys" for his own use in sexual relationships, as published on AJC.

For years Bishop Long has been outspoken against homosexuality. Now he is being accused of homosexuality acts with these young boys.

A rally organized by Bishop Walker, who will be joined by Reuben Armstrong, will take place at the Georgia State Capitol on October 31st and they will be asking for Bishop Long's resignation from his post in the church, according to Armstrong.

Reuben Armstrong on WSBTV video interview in his own words: HERE

Armstrong's book, "Snakes in the Pulpit," which was written in 2006, talked about the sexual abuse of young boys in the church. The book remained as a best seller for over a year on Essence Magazine's best seller list. Long was mentioned in the book as one of the men abusing their power and having sexual relations with young boys.

Two youth pastor's from Bishop Long's church reached out to Armstrong in 2006, after they witnessed Long's sexual abuse of the young boys. After writing about this in his book and talking about this at length on his talk show, Armstrong was met with accusations that he was starting rumors.

Is this man a member of New Birth? If not, who are you to ask a pastor to step down from the church where God called him to preach. Maybe Mr. Armstrong should start and organize a church and followers since he's a bible scholar, sinless, and live a perfect life. Instead of trying to gain attention from that horrible book he wrote targeting all Mega chursh Pastors.I don't understand why preachers with small congregations, pastors who have step down, and church folk target Mega Church Leaders. Someone have to step up to the plate and lead. As a Mega Church member I worship God and not my Bishop. Pastors are not politicians or just maybe all this MESS is political anyway. It is election time! The media stepping inside of GOD's Territory and trying to do his job and judge his children. Father forgive them for they no not what they do! The world doesn't understand that vengeance belongs to you and not man.

His ministry has now been compromised. He is no longer respected by a large majority. He should step down. The best thing for his people is for him to resign his positon allowing his congregration and loyal followers time to heal. If he is not guilty, then it will come out in the end. But right now, he cannot lead followers to Christ. I am not judging him, the person, I am stating that his ministry has been damaged and people will focus more on him and his actions than on the word of the Lord.
