Bissell Cleanview II Bagless Upright Vacuum

Economically Priced

I purchased this model at Target for $79.99 about 3 years ago. After having used a clunky old Orby model handed down from a family member, this vacuum was definitely a nice upgrade. I love the bagless canister feature and how easy it is to dump the dirt. It also has a very long cord which makes it very convenient not to have to be constantly plugging and unplugging it in each room. It's also lightweight, so it is not too heavy to push around. The model also comes with several attachment tools which comes in handy when doing stairs.

Although I have purchased a different vacuum model for my residence since buying this Bissell, I refused to give this model away. I actually use it to vacuum carpets at my rental properties after move-outs. This model performs well in cleaning up many dirty rooms and the extension hose comes in handy to suck up any dirt on window sills, cabinet interiors, corners, crevices, and more. It also has a headlight which is great for those late night jobs. Its numerous height adjustments allows you to precisely find the right height needed for your cleaning job - from carpet to bare floors. Being able to vacuum bare floors before mopping them is also an excellent feature. This model allows you to get the job done fast and efficiently.

There are some cons with this model. The vacuum does tend to have a loud motor. Also, the use of carpet powder requires you to have to take the vacuum apart to clean the filter that becomes completely bogged down with the powder. When using the powder the vacuum does not run the same, the motor begins to have a higher pitched sound to it. This can become quite aggravating when trying to deodorize a room. The vacuum also tends to get hair stuck on it's front rotating bar too quickly, which requires you to cut the hair out more often than you'd want to. This happens as well with the attachment tool TurboBrush that you can use on the stairs with the extension hose. A task that is in and of itself unappealing.

However, even with its cons this model is well worth the price for all of its features. The negative features are those not uncommon to most vacuums in the same level. I continue to recommend this model for those looking at economically priced vacuum models.
