Bissell Powerforce Bagless Vacuum Review

Laura Hickey
Imagine looking down at your carpet and feeling satisfied of how clean it looks. Then you get a call from the in laws that they would like to show up for a friendly visit. Instantly your eyes bolt over every item in your home, scrutinizing if it'll pass the test for cleanliness. I thought my carpets looked cleaned but found out a different story after I had purchased the Bissel Powerforce Bagless Upright Vacuum. Normally I don't get excited about cleaning products, you won't catch me on an episode of ABC's big hit Wife Swap cleaning everything from top to bottom daily. This vacuum gave me a new world of clean carpets.

When purchasing this vacuum, there is some assembly required but it is very easy. You simply screw in the handle to the vacuum and simply step down on the power button. What's great about having a bag less vacuum is no need to purchase bags. What really got my attention was seeing as I was vacuuming all the dirt that was stuck in the carpet. It's part amazing and part gross when you realize the previous vacuum really wasn't getting the job done.

Removing the plastic filter to empty the container was a breeze. You simply swing over the handle to click the filter out of it's place. Empty the container and place it back in by carefully putting the plastic container into the vacuum and swinging the handle back to lock it in. This vacuum offers limited features such as a hose, thin plastic extender and a double sided brush. The price that was paid at only $39.00 at Walmart was a great deal! The price of course will vary from store to store depending on where you shop. It has as much suction power as some of the more expensive brands but without breaking the bank. It's also not too loud of the ears. A downside is it appears to be lacking a light to help see when cleaning in corners. On kitchen tile it did have a hard time picking up some crumbs. Also be on the look out for the hose to accidentally at times comes out of it's connector. If this happens, quickly shut off the vacuum and re attach to avoid dust and dirt from flying out of the vacuum.

Overall this light weight vaccum weighing in at 17 lbs is a good choice for those looking for a decent vaccum. It currently comes with a 1 year warrenty and only in the color blue. Log on to: http://www.bissell.com/powerforce-bagless-vacuum/ for additional details.
