Bissell SpotBot Compact Carpet Cleaner

The Bissell SpotBot® allows easy spot removal from carpets and upholstery. It can be used hands free or manually. The SpotBot® is very easy to use. Simply add water and cleaning solution to the tank, plug in the machine to an electrical outlet, and set it on the surface to be cleaned with the soiled area under the spiral cleaning brushes. Designate "Surface Stain" or "Set-in Stain" with the touch of a button, and let the SpotBot® work. The "Automatic Smart SystemTM^TM" regulates the amount of cleaner used depending on the level of soil in the area to be cleaned. It applies cleaner, rotates the brushes and suctions up the dirty water within a few minutes. When finished, the used water tank is easily removed, rinsed and replaced for the next use.

For stains over a larger area than the size of the spiral brushes, there is a manual cleaning hose and attachment built in. That's one of great features about the Spot Bot. Everything is built into one compact unit. The manual cleaning attachment includes a brush and is especially good for cleaning spills on the upholstery.

My family has used thSpotBotot® on several surfaces. We found that the automatic, "set it down and walk away" function works great on cut pile carpet. However, when used on berberer-type carpet, it leaves a noticeable circle on the carpet. This can be removed with the manual cleaning attachment. We also found that the manual attachment works well on both cotton and synthetic upholstered furniture, and to clean stains from mattresses.
