Bistro Boulevard Game: Japanese Restaurant Hints, Tips and Tricks

Rhiannon C. Knight

The Japanese restaurant is the fourth level in the Bistro Boulevard restaurant time- management game. You must earn a combined total of twelve stars between the previous American, Italian, Chinese and Mexican restaurants before you can play the Japanese restaurant level. This is a fairly difficult level, because unlike previous restaurant levels, you must have two perfect days instead of just one. I actually achieved five perfect days before I was able to earn $4,000 in one day and seat 15 parties, two of my last remaining tasks. Also, there are more special ingredients you need to pay to unlock in this level.

Bistro Boulevard Japanese Restaurant Seating Lay-Out Tips

The Japanese Bistro Boulevard restaurant level contains two small seating areas and one large seating room. I placed a large table in each of the small seating areas and two large tables in the large seating room. I ended up having to place one small table in the hallway opposite of the kitchen to keep up with the increased client flow. I used the island tables and paired them with the austere chairs. Notice that one of your tasks is to buy shogun tables: I left this task for the very end and replaced my existing tables with these.

Bistro Boulevard Japanese Restaurant Kitchen Lay-Out Tips

Your wait staff stands outside of the kitchen in this level, giving you extra room for appliances in the kitchen. My final kitchen lay-out included four prep tables, two stoves, two ovens and two grills. You have enough room to place three more appliances if you need to.

Bistro Boulevard Japanese Restaurant Decorating Tips

In this level, you'll need to figure out a way to cram in as many decorations as possible into your restaurant, so you can increase your patrons' patience levels. Wall decorations I used in my Japanese restaurant included the ceramic roof segments (1 decor point each), bamboo artwork (4 decor points each), daruma (4 decor points each), rice paper screens (8 decor points each!) and the rice paper walls (8 decor points each!). Floor decorations I used for this Bistro Boulevard game level included the lucky cat (2 decor points), live bamboo (6 decor points each) and the terracotta soldiers (8 decor points each!).
