Bit by the Bait

In a place where the area code for the entire county was made "321" in 1999: because of the "3...2...1... Lift Off!" countdown sequence that is initiated during a flight sequence. Brevard County is one of the extra-long county's that extends over 70 miles from north to south, only a few miles inland from the seacoast at any point.

One moment Josh Landin, and his friends and brother were fishing near the Sebastian Inlet in Brevard county south end Florida. When out of nowhere they caught a fish, thinking it was a small one they did the usual things and looked over the side of the boat glaring to see how big the fish was going to be, however as Josh started to reel in what he though to be a so called little fish he was introduced to the 57 lb 4 foot 11 king mackerel that was jumped into the boat.

The fish hit Josh Landin in the chest knocking him onto the floor of the boat. While Josh was down on the floor of the boat the fish started to brutally attack him. The King Mackerel plunged his teeth into Joshs' skin, biting Josh in two separate places on his arm and leg. From the pain and loss of blood Josh started to lose consciousness on the boat. His family and friends rushed him from the boat to shore where he was taken barley conscious to a nearby Florida hospital to be looked at. There he received more than 100 stitches in the two locations that the mackerel had plunged his teeth into his skin.

Josh has decided not to stuff the fish and put it over the mantle, but to leave the fish in the nearby water harbor to let the crabs nibble on. Now this once man hungry fish is now a snack for the local crabs.
