Bizzare Holidays No One Knows About

Besides the usual Christmas, Thanksgiving, Halloween, and such, there is a holiday for pretty much every day of the year. You just don't know about them. Why? Well read on, and you'll see why most of us probably won't be celebrating these anytime soon!

January 2nd-

Run it up the flagpole and see if anyone salutes it Day.An expression meaning, to run an idea by people and see if anyone agrees about it, or notices. so for this day, you are supposed to be creative in both your personal and business world. Try a new dinner dish, wear your hair different, try a new strategy at work. See if anyone takes notice of it! While you're running with that new idea for above holiday, maybe you need to take some time to sleep. So catch some on Festival of the Sleep, a perfect day to celebrate, especially right after the new years. And while you're at it, toss out those old fruitcakes.

January 3rd-

Fruitcake Toss Day. The name says it all. Fruitcakes are notorious for being that one item nobody wants. Give up on anyone actually eating it and get rid of it. Humiliation Day sounds like a good day to unleash some evil plans. But its not what the days about. Take this day to understand the wrongs associated with humiliating others.

January 4th-

Trivia Day. Use this day to annoy your family and friends with the useless bits of trivia gathered in your brain. Or, go for the gold and surprise them with something really useful!

January 5th-

For those of us who love birds, National Bird Day is perhaps a holiday in itself. Take the time to watch our fine-feathered friends in motion or in stillness. There are actually other days to celebrate bird-watching, but January 5th kicks it off.

January 6th-

Bean Day. Thats right, Bean Day. Nobody seems to know why. All anyone knows is that its a good day to eat beans. Or you could plant them. Really, what else is there to do? After you've had your fill of beans, enjoy that its also Cuddle Up Day. Ironic, isn't it? So cuddle up to your favorite guy or gal, or your dog, or your cat...whatever.

January 7th-

Old Rock Day. A day to enjoy looking at old rocks and fossils. Another holiday that no one really knows the true meaning of. But hey, a diamond was once an old rock. Enjoy looking at one today!

January 8th -

Bubble Bath Day. Who wouldn't enjoy this kinda holiday? Take the day to relax in a soothing tub of hot, soapy bubbles. Even better for kids who like to take baths anyway.

January 9th-

Ladies, today is your day. It is Male Watcher's Day. So get on out there and start male watching. Don't worry if it annoys anybody, husband, wife, girlfriend. Just explain its a holiday and you're doing your country a grand service by participating in it! Play God is also celebrated today. OK, don't start ordering everyone around. Today is a great day to start doing good deeds for others. It doesn't have to be big. A prayer is also much appreciated, too!
