Pros
This unit is unbelievably small and compact. It weighs only 6 pounds so when you're not in the mood to do the cleaning and let your kids do it instead they won't have any problem lugging this little tool. It is pretty quite too. Even though it gives out that high-pitched sound but it's still tolerable.
Compared to other 12-volt vacuum the suction power of FHV1200 is much better so it is more effective in sucking in dust, dirt and litter from your upholstery. It uses cyclonic action to keep the filter clean from dirt and dust which ensures the suction power remains stable for a long time. Even when there's dust stuck in the filter you can easily flick the "filter refresh" knob to get rid of them.
The 4-foot flexible hose enables you to reach high places, corners and other hard-to-reach areas in your house or car. It also comes with three attachments including the crevice tool, 2-in-1 brush and a pet-hair brush.
The crevice tool is handy for cleaning between sofa cushions and other tight spaces. The 2-in-1 brush can easily clean window blinds, bookshelf and picking up dirt from the floor. If you got pets that shed a lot the pet-hair brush really helps the vacuum to pull those sticky hairs from your stairs and upholstery.
Another good thing about this handheld vacuum is that the filter is washable and reusable so you don't need to buy replacement for a long time.
Cons
Just like any other cordless vacuum this one also takes forever to charge. Actually, it only takes 20 hours but considering the battery only lasts for 7 minutes that 20 hours is close enough to forever.
Conclusion
The Black & Decker FHV1200 Flex Vac cordless ultra-compact vacuum cleaner is really a good hand vac to have at home. It's small, lightweight but powerful and very useful for cleaning the couch, sofa, window blinds, book shelf and stairs. The three attachments work well and should cover various cleaning needs in your home and car.
