The Very Popular and Young Black Eyed Peas Will Be the 2011 Super Bowl's Main Performers During Halftime

On Feb. 6, 2011, the Black Eyed Peas will be playing at halftime at the Super Bowl, being watched by most likely over 150 million Americans. This performance sharply contrasts to the performances at Super Bowls in recent years, where the performers have all been over 50, with the exception of Prince in 2007, who was 48. The oldest of the Black Eyed Peas will be only 37 (according to the NY Times).

The Black Eyed Peas have had their music played at the Super Bowl before, however. Last year, when one of their songs started playing, the camera went on the group and they could be seen on the big screen. They started dancing and singing to their own song, putting on a little show to all of those attending the Super Bowl. Stacy Ann Ferguson, more commonly known as "Fergie," thinks that this may be the moment when they became seriously considered for the 2011 halftime show.

This is not the Black Eyed Peas' first performance at the Super Bowl, as they previously played in a pregame show in 2005.

The Black Eyed Peas are made up of four members; will.i.am, Fergie, Taboo, and apl.de.ap. They became known worldwide with their hit "Where is the Love?" in 2003 and have been topping the charts more recently with songs such as "Boom Boom Pow," "Meet Me Halfway" and "I Gotta Feeling."

Their most recent hit has been "The Time (Dirt Bit)," which is the first single on their new album, "The Beginning." "Just Can't Get Enough" will become "The Beginning's" second single on Feb. 8, 2011, just two days after the Super Bowl.

The group is excited to be playing at the Super Bowl, and they should be. The Super Bowl is the most watched event in the United States every year, and is sure to bring them a whole lot of attention. The Super Bowl will have the Peas fresh in America's mind when they release their new single, "Just Can't Get Enough."

The Black Eyed Peas playing at this year's Super Bowl halftime show is sure to be a treat to the United States' younger generations, and it is sure to be an exciting performance.

So this year, I am definitely cheering on the Packers, only because the Saints didn't make it. I love Reggie Bush and reasonably so. I'm watching the game with my Google TV with DISH Network so I am able to watch the game and tweet at the same time. Right about now, the Packers are winning. Either way it goes, I'm going to be happy because I got the Logitech Revue at a $120 discount because I'm with their service. It's great and I highly recommend that people check it out!
