Black Friday 2009 at Walmart

This Thanksgiving will be a time of quiet moments with family and friends remembering the good times and holding... who are we kidding. Everyone is going to get stuffed like the turkeys they will be eating and have to endure family members that they spend most of the year trying to escape. Should be a blast, just like every year.

If you are looking for an escape you may want to consider a run over to Walmart. Black Friday 2009 at Walmart promises to be a good one. The store has already committed to staying open 24 hours on Thanksgiving day in anticipation of the crowds expected to mob their locations for their Black Friday specials. Head office claims however that their door crasher specials will not be available until 5 a.m. Hope that doesn't counter any plans they have for easing mad rushes and consumer frenzies.

The chain is looking for ways to alleviate the mayhem that ensues during Black Friday at Walmart in the wake of a tragedy that occurred with one of their stores in the Long Island area after a security guard was trampled to death last year. A priority on safety it would appear would now suddenly be high on the retailers list. Hopefully, the safety concern applies to the masses of customers anticipated as well.

One of the big promotions being pushed for Black Friday 2009 at Walmart will be their $100 Walmart gift card. The $100 Walmart gift card will be available with every purchase of a Blackberry handset as part of a two year deal. How good this deal is really will depend upon several factors including the quality of the device, the customers needs and of course, the competition and their comparable offers. This will come out obviously in the cost and what is being offered by competing services.

The handsets that are being offered as part of the Black Friday 2009 promotion at Walmart include a number of AT&T handsets, the Blackberry Curve 8310 and the Blackberry Bold 9000. There will also be a number of T-Mobile, Sprint and Verizon handsets offered as well. If this is just the kids of item that you or that special someone has been looking for or you simply are looking for quality justification to escape that next helping of stuffing, you should definitely check out the Walmart closest to you for more details.

Word is that these particular deals, along with several other must haves will make themselves available this coming Saturday. Be weary, if you are genuinely interested, it is likely they will go quickly and historically you, as the lowly consumer, will not be made aware of availability. So act fast. Or find a better deal elsewhere. It really is entirely up to you.

In the meantime, keep your eyes peeled for the next Black Friday 2009 ad for Walmart which should be hitting all imaginable forms of print media soon. Or, if you would prefer, go see a good movie and have a sandwich. Both are reasonable suggestions. Then again you can do whatever you want it is a free country after all.
